Water Bonds

Water has been her main theme for over the last ten years.

“This project, Water Bonds, concerns my siblings (1 brother, 6 sisters). From a photo, a waterscape, that everyone sends me I paint a body of water while thinking of them. I then paint my view of their image.” 

“This project implies empathy, being able to feel and comprehend what people are experiencing. These people being our siblings, our parents, our friends and on a larger scale, our social background and global society. We are part of a living whole and we all have a responsibility to each other. It can bring reflections on solidarity versus individuality.” 

“The second theme is water, which I consider of great importance to our Earth’s balance.”
